Emergency: Sadhguru reviews Kangana Ranaut, Anupam Kher's film; actress touches his feet at special screening | PICS

After multiple delays, Kangana Ranaut's political film Emergency finally hit theatres on January 17, 2025. Directed by Kangana herself, the film also features Anupam Kher, Satish Kaushik, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, and Shreyas Talpade in key roles. Despite clashing with Ajay Devgn, Rasha Thadani, and Aaman Devgan's film Azaad, the political drama has been receiving a positive response from the audience. Sadhguru has THIS to say about Kangana Ranaut's Emergency

Kangana, who left no stone unturned to promote her directorial, took to Instagram and shared heartfelt pictures with Sadhguru from the screening. In one of the pictures, she is seen touching his feet to seek blessings. The pictures also feature Anupam Kher, who plays the role of Jayaprakash Narayan in the film. Along with the lovely pictures, Kangana revealed Sadhguru's reaction to her film. She said that he called Emergency 'excellent'.

Soon after she shared the post, fans were seen showering love on the actress. A fan wrote, "Yesterday I saw the movie and i loved it excellent acting and directed so well, All the best." Another fan commented, "Such a fantastic movie u made Kangana & I know u are the best character for the role of our former late Indira Gandhi the Emergency."

Emergency's box office collection day 1

Despite locking horns with Azaad, the film managed to take a decent start at the box office. As per early estimates by Sacnilk, Emergency collected Rs 2.35 crore on its first day. With this, it has become Kangana's biggest opening film in five years. It will be interesting to see how the film fares in the coming days considering the good response from the audience. Till Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya's film Sky Force releases on January 24, the film has a chance to score well at the box office.
