The OTT partner of Kangana Ranaut's Emergency has been revealed with the recently released trailer of the film. The movie is scheduled for theatrical release on September 6. Post its theatrical run, Emergency, which could be touted as Indira Gandhi's biopic, will be out on OTT. Here's where you can watch the film digitally post its release...
Emergency will stream on Netflix after its theatrical run. The OTT platform has the exclusive streaming rights for the film based on the former Indian PM, Indira Gandhi. The movie will be out on the OTT platform two months after its theatrical run.
Unlike the title, Emergency trailer suggests that the film will be about Indira Gandhi's political affiliations (she is former PM Jawaharlal Nehru's daughter), her reign as PM and the downfall which led to Emergency and her ultimate assassination. Since Indira Gandhi is known for Emergency period, which is the darkest time in Indian history, the focus is likely to be on what led to the times and how Sanjay Gandhi influenced it.
Shreyas Talpade plays the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Emergency. Meanwhile, Milind Soman is seen as Sam Manekshaw. The film, directed and produced by Kangana Ranaut, also stars Anupam Kher and Mahima Choudhary in pivotal roles.
