There are only a few foot-tapping numbers that'll make you stand up and take notice within the very first hearing. Ekkesinde, a number from Maruthi's web film Manchi Rojulochaie, launched today, can be safely slotted in the category. The slow-paced mass number with a catchy musical hook, composed by Anup Rubens, is brought alive by singer Ram Miriyala's infectious enthusiasm. He completely understands the tempo, spirit and mood of Ekkesinde that it's hard to resist grooving to it.
Ekkesinde is shot on the film's lead actors Santosh Shobhan, Mehreen Pirzada and many dancers on the Durgam Cheruvu bridge in Hyderabad. The song has lyrics by Anantha Sriram, who is gradually developing a knack for massy, folk numbers as well. After Digu Digu Digu Naaga from Varudu Kaavalenu, this song further reasserts his versatility. Ekkesinde is a song about a guy expressing his happiness about reuniting with his girl again. He reminisces of the many happy moments they spent time watching movies, eating street food, having a drink together and wishes to experience it another time as well.
The song unfolds in the night and features many sanitation workers, auto drivers grooving with the lead actors. Santosh Shobhan and Mehreen are excellent with their dance moves and the choreography does justice to the energy of the number. Another number from the film, So So Ga, rendered by Sid Sriram, was released a few days ago. Vennela Kishore, Sapthagiri, Viva Harsha, Srinivas Reddy, Sudharshan, Ajay Ghosh and Praveen form the supporting cast of the entertainer. Produced by V celluloid and SKN, the film is presented by UV Concepts and Mass Movie Makers.
