Ek Villain Returns song Dil Twitter reaction: Fans hail ‘heartfelt’ track featuring Arjun Kapoor, Tara Sutaria

The makers of Ek Villain Returns released the latest track from the film on Friday. Titled Dil, it has Arjun Kapoor and John Abraham’s characters grieving over their individual girlfriends, Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani. The track also leaves the viewers wondering who the film's actual villain is.

Fans, however, can't seem to get enough of the song and are captivated by Raghav Chaitanya's version. Here are a few Twitter reactions from listeners who enjoyed the song.

The track was composed by the duo Kaushik-Guddi with lyrics written by Kunaal Vermaa. T-Series had released the track online through its YouTube page. The movie has now already generated a lot of interest among the viewers. Galliyan Returns, another song from the film, is now already trending on music charts.

The storyline of Ek Villain Returns takes place eight years after the original Ek Villain, a 2014 film starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh. Mohit had also helmed the first film in the franchise. Ritesh will make a cameo appearance in Ek Villain Returns that also has JD Chakravarthy in a pivotal role.

The film will release in theatres on July 29, which John and Arjun apparently have declared as “Villaintines Day”. Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Mohit are the producers of the movie.

Arjun, on the other hand, will also be seen in Ajay Bhal's The Lady Killer, which also has Bhumi Pednekar. Disha is next part of Malang 2 shortly, while John is starring in Pathaan, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
