Director Nadirshah and Jayasurya who last collaborated for Amar Akbar Anthony in 2015, reunite for Eesho. The trailer of this thriller opens up on an eerie night and follows a suspicious person roaming around the Gandhi Square area.
The film seems to revolve around a murder and an ATM located at Gandhi Square. The ATM guard Ramachandran Pillai meets a complete stranger (Jayasurya) whose ambulance van breaks down in front of the ATM. The two develop a bond during the night and share stories until strange events start to unfold.
Pillai is warned repeatedly of the stranger and to be careful. The trailer then cuts to a little girl who is found hanging from a tree. It further gives hints about the investigation process, all of which leads to Gandhi Square. For instance, a phone number the police are tracing was switched off at the Gandhi Square ATM and Pillai has witnessed some sort of crime while working.
We are unsure who the bad guy is in the film or what wrong he did. But the stranger roams around with a knife and a gun. Is Jayasurya a friend or foe? A saviour or a murderer? The mystery thriller streams on SonyLIV from October 5.
Eesho is directed by Nadirshah and co-stars Namitha Pramod, Jafar Idukki, Johny Antony, Indrans, and Suresh Krishna. The story and screenplay is penned by Suneesh Varanad. The film is produced under the banner of Arun Narayan Productions. While Roby Varghese Raj is the DOP, Shameer Muhammed is the editor.
