Two days ago, British singer Ed Sheeran, known for his songs Perfect and Shape of You, landed in Mumbai. He is currently on the last leg of his +–=÷× tour, which is simply known as the mathematics tour. The 33-year-old singer will be performing in Mumbai on March 16. Since that is a few days away, Ed is making the most of his time in India. Today, he met Indian batsman Shubman Gill and played a game of cricket with him. It is not common to see a global icon walking casually on the streets of India. But that is what happened this afternoon when Ed met some fans in Mumbai. He was on his way to meet Shubman Gill. Soon after he met the cricketer, they exchanged warm greetings and decided to play a friendly game of cricket. In viral photos circulating on social media, Ed is seen holding a cricket bat and learning how to bat. Shubman was the bowler in the match.
Coincidentally, both stars were in white clothes. While Shubman chose a white vest with black track pants, Ed opted for a simple white shirt and black shorts.
Reacting to this, many people on social media just could not stay calm. One Instagrammer wrote, “Shubman and Ed Sheeran, the crossover we didn't expect! Wow!”
“Shubman has such a high brand value. What an aura at such a young age!” wrote another user. “Difficult to ascertain who should be the center of attraction in these pictures,” commented one more netizen.
Later, a band of Indian musicians performed Shape of You on flutes, drums, and shehnais.

Grammy Award-winning artist Ed Sheeran will wrap up his Mathematics Tour in Mumbai on March 16 at the Mahalaxmi Race Course Grounds. This is part of his 2024 Asia and Europe Tour. This is Sheeran's second concert in India; he last performed in 2017.
The concert will begin at 3 pm with an opening performance by Prateek Kuhad. English singer Calum Scott will also make a special guest appearance, and Ed will begin his performance at 7.15 pm.
The concert will likely be attended by numerous Bollywood celebrities, just like it was the last time.
