Ravi Teja, who has had three releases in 2023 - Waltair Veerayya, Ravanasura and the recent Dussehra release Tiger Nageswara Rao - will also be making his presence felt in the Sankranti 2024 race. He has nearly wrapped up shooting for his next, an action thriller titled Eagle, directed by noted cinematographer Karthik Gattamneni. Anupama Parameswaran, Kavya Thapar play the female leads in the film.
Eagle, which releases on January 13, 2024, will lock horns with several biggies this Sankranthi - including Guntur Kaaram, Saindhav, VD13, HanuMan, Naa Saami Ranga. TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory, which also bankrolled Ravi Teja’s 2022 hit Dhamaka, is producing the film. Shot on a lavish scale, the film promises to be an eye feast of an action thriller. The teaser of Eagle was out today.
The teaser begins with Ravi Teja’s voice over - ‘Do not ask for the lava from the volcano to descend, it will not only wipe out the village but also your existence.’ Every one, from gangsters to journalists to top rank officers are after Eagle, who signifies destruction wherever he goes. The characters give pompous descriptions of his character, who’s a messiah for many.
The actor sports long hair, beard and a pointed moustache in his latest avatar - is he real or myth? The man is everywhere, another character says. The action choreography appears to be one of the major highlights of the film. Navdeep, Srinivas Avasarala, Madhoo are also part of the lineup. Besides direction, Karthik Gattamneni is the editor and the cinematographer of the film.
Kamil Plocki, Karm Chawla also cranked the camera for select sequences. Will Eagle repeat Sankranthi 2023’s success story (Waltair Veerayya) for Ravi Teja? One can’t wait to watch. Manibabu Karanam is the dialogue writer for the film which has production design by Srinagendra Tangala. Chaitanya Prasad, Rehman and Kalyan Chakravarthy are the lyricists for the album composed by Davzand.
