Just a day ahead of its scheduled OTT release, Telugu star Ravi Teja's latest movie Eagle finds a new streaming partner. The film already found a home on the ETV Win platform , but now it will also be available on Amazon Prime Video.

Eagle gets another streaming platform

Eagle will start streaming on both platforms on March 1. While ETV Win will help reach the larger Telugu-speaking population in the Telugu states, Prime Video will make the movie accessible to audiences of different languages. Egale will also be available for streaming on OTTplay Premium .

Eagle marked the 73rd film of Ravi Teja's career. The film also marked the directorial debut of Karthik Gattamneni, a leading cinematographer in the Telugu film industry. He shot Ravi Teja's previous movies "Dhamaka" and Disco Raja before directing him in Eagle.

Besides directing and co-writing, Karthik Gattamneni was also involved in partly shooting and editing the video. It's safe to say that Eagle was a very passionate project for Karthik Gattamneni, who wanted to make a mark in the Telugu film industry as a director.

Will Eagle create a streaming Sensation?

Eagle managed to create significant interest among audiences before its release, thanks to Karthik Gattamneni's sleek and ultra-stylish frames. The film was originally supposed to arrive in cinemas in the second week of January, coinciding with the celebration of Sankranti.

However, the filmmakers were forced to postpone the release owing to a mad festival rush of films in the Telugu states. As many as four movies simultaneously opened in cinemas, leaving distributors and exhibitors struggling to accommodate all the movies. With Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram taking the majority of the screens in both states, the other new arrivals were forced to make do with fewer screens.

Eagle made a strategic decision to pull out from the race and arrived in cinemas on February 9, missing out massively on the holiday crowd. The film opened to mixed reactions, and subsequently, it tanked at the box office.
