Shah Rukh Khan is one of the biggest stars in the country and is in superb form with back-to-back Rs 500 crore films in his kitty with Pathaan and Jawan. Even before the euphoria of Jawan has not died down, yet another film of Shah Rukh Khan, Dunki is all set to release on December 22, 2023, worldwide.
There is a massive craze for this film as Shah Rukh Khan has teamed up with Raj Kumar Hirani for the first time in his career. On the other hand, Salaar is yet another big budget action that was supposed to be released on September 28, 2023. But the film was postponed at the last minute and now the makers have locked December 22, 2023 as the release date.
That means Salaar will be released alongside SRK's Dunki and this has heated up the box office. While the stars have no problem with the dual release, the fans and media have created a storm of sorts by creating over-hype.
The fans of Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas are fighting it out on social media as to whose film will score big at the box office. When it comes to stardom, Prabhas is nowhere close to Shah Rukh Khan but Prabhas has also Pan-India fans.
On the other hand, fans of SRK say that the makers of Dunki announced the release date well in advance and Salaar has come from nowhere and is trying to dominate the SRK starrer. The media is also not leaving any stone unturned and is giving this box office fight a new angle.
The sudden change of release date of Salaar has also upset many releases in Telugu cinema. Films like Saindhav, Eagle, Hi Nanna, and a few others were supposed to release in December and now they are in a fix to change the release dates of their films as they do not want to take on Prabhas and Prashanth Neel who are a deadly combo.
Off late, after a lull at the box office, Hindi films are back on track and are making big money at the box office. As south films were dominating the Bollywood box office, a few insiders from Bollywood have taken this box office fight quite seriously and have created a north vs south debate. All said and done, it will be great to see these two films arrive at the box office and entertain the audience.
