Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki locked horns with Prabhas' Salaar at the box office. Here's how the films have fared at the ticket window.

Prabhas' Salaar is unstoppable at the box office. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film hit the silver screen on December 22. Although it locked horns with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki, the movie is doing exceedingly well. For that matter, Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki has maintained its own pace. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the day 10 collection of Dunki is estimated to be ₹9.25 crore while the day 9 collection of Salaar is around ₹12.50 crore.

Considering the early estimate of Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki, the total collection of the movie is ₹176.47 crore. After a decent start at the box office, Rajkumar Hirani's directorial did gain momentum but it is now earning in single digits at the ticket window.
On the other hand, Salaar did witness a few bumps after a thunderous start at the box office. However, the Prashanth Neel film continues to enjoy its glorious run at the ticket window. The summation of 9 days of Dunki's box office is ₹329.62 crore.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Prashanth Neel clarified that his film Salaar is not at war with Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role.
The filmmaker added that neither the makers of Salaar nor the makers of Dunki think that there is a war between the two movies. "We are here to survive and we are here to impress the audience. We are here to entertain the audience. We are not here to compete amongst ourselves," Neel told the entertainment portal. He stated that it is not a cricket match that is being played.
About Salaar and Dunki
While Salaar is the tale of two friends Deva and Vardha, Dunki is based on illegal border crossings via indirect routes to reach a foreign land.
Prabhas' Salaar star cast also includes Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Sriya Reddy, Tinnu Anand, Jagapathi Babu, and others. As far as Dunki's cast is concerned, it includes Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani.
