Shah Rukh Khan treated the audience to his third film of the year - Dunki. He collaborated with filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani for the movie. Also starring Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, and Vicky Kaushal, Dunki hit the silver screen on December 21. A day later, Prashanth Neel's movie, Salaar, featuring Prabhas released and both films clashed at the ticket window.

While Salaar got a monstrous opening at the box office, Dunki was off to a decent start. The Prabhas-starrer has now raced past ₹200 crore, while Shah Rukh's movie has entered the ₹100 crore club.

Dunki vs Salaar box office collection

After 4 days of its theatrical run, Dunki has finally managed to cross ₹100 crore at the box office. The film slowly gained momentum at the box office. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Shah Rukh Khan's movie minted ₹31.50 crore on day four, which brings the total collection to ₹106.43 crore. However, it still lags behind Prabhas' violent thriller Salaar, which has been unstoppable since day one.

Talking about Prashanth Neel's movie, Salaar got a bumper opening of ₹90 crore at the box office. However, it witnessed a major drop on day two as it collected only ₹56.35 crore. That being said, the film saw slight growth on day three with a collection of ₹61 crore. The total BO earning of Salaar is currently at ₹208.05 crore.

About Dunki and Salaar

Dunki marked Shah Rukh's third theatrical release of the year. After the blockbuster success of Pathaan and Jawaan, SRK featured in Rajkumar's movie with Taapsee, Vicky, and Boman. The story revolves around the lives of four friends, who wish to go to England and how a soldier fulfills their dream with a twist.

On the other hand, Salaar is a film helmed by KGF director Prashanth Neel. After the debacle of his previous movie Adipurush, Prabhas managed to bounce back with the box office success of Salaar. He stars alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, and Shruti Haasan.
