With Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan is back on the big screen for the third time in 2023. The movie is based on the concept of "Donkey Flight," which is an illegal practice of entering countries such as the USA, Canada, and the UK. The film is a heartwarming tale of friendship that also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, Satish Shah, Dia Mirza, and Parikshit Sahni.

Dunki on OTT

Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki is expected to enjoy an outstanding theatrical given that King Khan delivered two back-to-back blockbusters earlier this year with Pathaan and Jawan. However, after its theatrical run, the film will premiere on an OTT platform. And we've got details about the same. Days after the release, the movie will have an OTT release on Jio Cinema.

Dunki budget

Dunki is reportedly produced with a budget of Rs 85 crore. The movie reportedly cost the producers Rs 120 crore, while taking into account the print and publicity costs.

More about Dunki

Dunki marks the first collaboration between SRK and filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. The movie chronicles the emotional journey of a few friends who wish to relocate overseas. The narrative depicts the thrilling voyage of those who opt for the non-traditional path known as the 'Donkey Flight', highlighting the challenges they encounter along the way.

Produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan, this film is a collaboration between JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films. Dunki is written by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon.

Dunki vs Salaar

Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki will face tough competition at the box office as Prashanth Neel's Salaar - Part One: Ceasefire is all set to release in theatres tomorrow, December 22. The film stars Prabhas, Prithviraj, Shruti Haasan, Saran Shakthi, and Meenakshi Chaudhary.
