After nearly two months of a successful run in theatres, Dunki is finally out on Netflix. On Valentine's Day 2024, Shah Rukh Khan dropped a hint of a surprise, and from February 15 at midnight, the film started streaming on the OTT platform. For the uninitiated, in Dunki, three friends from small-town Punjab try to get visas to London in the hopes of making a better life for themselves—until a former soldier shows them a dangerous way. Upon its theatrical run, the film was two hours and 40 minutes long, but many predicted that on Netflix, the movie would include deleted scenes.

Absence of deleted scenes on streaming platforms

However, nothing of that sort has happened; Dunki has the exact same runtime with no additional scenes. This extra runtime has been suspended for quite some time now, as it was also reported that Animal, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga film starring Ranbir Kapoor, would have an extended runtime. It seems like from now on, the streaming platforms won't be adding extra scenes that people missed out on watching on the big screen.
