Sci-fi fans, rejoice! After two years of eager anticipation, fueled by speculation, character reveals, and stunning glimpses, Dune: Part Two has finally locked down its release date, on March 1, 2024, worldwide. This epic sequel arrives nearly three years after the critically acclaimed first part, which captivated audiences and dominated the 94th Academy Awards in 2022, taking home six prestigious Oscars for Best Visual Effects, Best Original Score, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Film Editing, and Best Sound.
Today Dune: Part Two gets a new motion-poster, where it introduced all the leading characters with their striking get ups. Apart from Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Austin Butler, Rebecca Ferguson, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem reprising their roles in the sequel, the poster introduced a new character played by Souheila Yacoub.
While the makers did not confirm any details about Souheila Yacoub’s character, it can be guessed she is playing Shishakli. In Frank Herbert’s book, it's written that there's a Fremen named - Shishakli, who lives in Sietch Tabr. One important part of the story is when Paul Atreides, the main character, has to go through a special test called - the sandrider trial. During this test, you have to ride a giant sandworm, which is quite dangerous. Shishakli sees that Paul doesn't have the right tools for the job, so she gives him his own special hooks to help him ride the worm safely.
Thr Part Two will portray Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet), a brave young man, joining forces with Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen, a desert people, to avenge his family's death. He has a special power to see glimpses of the future, and he realises something terrible is going to happen. He must choose between his love for Chani and saving the whole world from this disaster.
Last year, Call of Duty announced its going to have its first ever Dune character in it, where Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler will be seen in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, and Call of Duty: Warzone. The adventure drama is considered one of the best sci-fi films of the 21st century.
