Dulquer Salmaan, the popular star is gearing up to make a grand comeback to Malayalam cinema, after a short break. The Lucky Baskhar actor recently confirmed that he is in talks with talented filmmakers, Nahas Hidayath and Soubin Shahir, for his next outings in the industry. Dulquer Salmaan next immediate project, helmed by the RDX director, is expected to go on floors in February 2025. The much-awaited project reportedly features two leading ladies.

Rukmini Vasanth to join Dulquer Salmaan, Nahas Hidayath’s film?

If the recent updates are to be believed, young Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth, who is best known for her performance in the acclaimed Rakshit Shetty starrer Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, is gearing up for her Malayalam cinema debut. The grapevine suggests that Rukmini is in talks to play one of the two female leads in the upcoming Dulquer Salmaan starrer, directed by Nahas Hidayath. The talented actress, who is said to be impressed with the script and her role in the film, might sign the dotted line soon.

As reported earlier, Dulquer Salmaan’s next outing directed by Nahas Hidayath is also expected to feature popular actress Priyanka Mohan, best known for her performances in Doctor and Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, as one of the female leads. If things go as planned, the popular actress will also make her Malayalam cinema debut with the untitled project, which is expected to have its official launch by the beginning of 2025. However, none of these reports are officially confirmed, yet.

If the latest updates are to be believed, the upcoming Dulquer Salmaan starrer directed by Nahas Hidayath is an action-packed entertainer with elements of science fiction. SJ Suryah, the popular Tamil actor-filmmaker is set to play the lead antagonist in the untitled film. Antony Varghese Pepe, Lal, and Baiju Santhosh are expected to play the other pivotal roles in the film. 

Jakes Bejoy is expected to join the project, as the music composer. Chaman Chakko is expected to handle the editing. The cast and crew members are planning to begin the film's set work, by the end of December 2024. The upcoming project is jointly produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Film and Vyjayanthi Movies.
