Director Tinu Pappachan announced that he would be teaming up with Dulquer Salmaan for a film soon

There were several rumours surrounding Ajagajantharam director Tinu Pappachan’s next after the Kunchacko Boban and Antony Varghese-starrer Chaaver. The filmmaker, however, put an end to those a fortnight ago, by announcing that he will be teaming up with Dulquer Salmaan for a film that is also produced by the superstar.
The latest grapevine suggests that Neelavelicham and 2018 actor Tovino Thomas will also be part of the movie. Tovino and Dulquer had earlier shared screen space in Martin Prakkat’s ABCD and Charlie as well as Kurup, which had the former in a cameo role. The duo earlier this year had also shot in Karaikudi together, albeit for different films with Tovino wrapping up his portions for Ajayante Randam Moshanam and Dulquer completing his highly-anticipated movie King of Kotha.
OTTplay reached out to Tinu, who has just returned from the sets of Lijo Jose Pellissery and Mohanlal’s Malaikottai Vaaliban that had him as the chief associate director, to know the truth about Tovino being cast in the Dulquer-starrer.
“There’s no truth in that,” Tinu tells us. “All I can reveal right now is that it's a project that will be mounted on a big scale. This will need some time and we are hoping to begin the shoot by the end of 2023 or in 2024.”
The director also clarifies that he will start work on the movie only after he completes the post-production of Chaaver, a political-thriller that is scripted by Joy Mathew and also has Arjun Ashokan and Manoj KU in pivotal roles.
“The dubbing of the film is currently progressing. We are aiming at a June or July release, but this again is not confirmed,” Tinu says. The filmmaker has also signed up to direct another movie for Janatta Motion Pictures, which is backed by scriptwriter-director S Suresh Kumar.
