As Dulquer Salmaan is gearing up for the release of Chup: Revenge of the Artist, the actor also celebrated the success of his most recent outing, Sita Ramam. The Telugu film, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, features Mrunal Thakur as the female lead, and Rashmika Mandanna in a supporting role. Soon after the release of the film, many drew parallels between Sita Ramam and Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukerji starrer Veer-Zaara.

When asked about comparisons between Sita Ramam and the 2004 romance drama Veer Zaara, starring Shah Rukh and Preity, Salmaan stated it was unjust. Both on and off the film, the actor claimed to be a tremendous fan of Shah Rukh Khan.

The actor added that Shah Rukh is an excellent role model for them. How the superstar acts toward them, how he communicates with them, and how respectful he is of women. Dulquer called SRK quite unique. The Malayalam heartthrob grew up admiring and watching his movies, such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ).

Shah Rukh has always served as an example for him. Therefore, Dulquer is certain that he has subconsciously influenced how he interacts with people. However, doing so would be demeaning to him as there is only one Shah Rukh Khan.

Before filming a sequence with Sita Ramam, Mrunal admitted that she used to listen to songs from Shah Rukh's flicks. She has always wished she could portray a character who is larger than life and who has two sides, as the first and second halves are distinct. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a gap in her schedule that she used to prepare for her role. Before entering the scenes, Mrunal used to play Shah Rukh Khan songs in the background.

Dulquer will next be seen in R Balki's Chup, co-starring Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, and Shreya Dhanwanthary. The film is slated for release on September 23, 2022.
