Actor and filmmaker Pradeep Rangananthan solidified his place in the industry when his film Love Today came out of nowhere and became a box office success. The film featured Pradeep in the lead role and is an adaptation of his short film. After this, Pradeep collaborated with his long-time friend and filmmaker Ashwath Marimuthu for Dragon.

For those who haven’t watched Dragon, heads up for spoilers ahead. Dragon is a coming-of-age drama about this studious boy called D Ragavan who turns into a brat while entering college and rechristens himself as Dragon. Even though he is a failure in studies, a break up changes everything and he soon undertakes an unethical method to succeed in life, only for it to come back haunting.

While there were many speculations about who will be playing a cameo appearance in the film, we are here to confirm that it is not Silambarasan. Ashwath, who plays a small role in the film, appears in the film, but that’s not it. Towards the climax, Ragavan’s scam is exposed and is left alone after his fiancée breaks up with him. But after years, when he settles for a decent job as food delivery executive, he meets his college principal by chance who says his daughter has been seeing Ragavan’s matrimonial profile and wanting to get to know him.

Dragon x Love Today: Pradeep and Ashwath’s worlds collide

As Dragon’s post-credits scene roll, we see the daughter is played by none other than actor Ivana, the female lead in Love Today. The theme of Love Today plays in the background as audience erupt in surprise. Ivana’s appearance in the film has been a well-kept secret by the team, and became a theatre moment for moviegoers to enjoy in big screens.
