Pradeep Ranganathan, who shot to fame with Love Today, is currently busy with his upcoming film Dragon. The film, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, is slated to hit theatres in February 2025. Now, the first single from the movie 'Rise Of Dragon’ is out and what caught our attention was noted filmmaker-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon joining Pradeep Ranganathan on the dance floor
A while ago, the makers of Pradeep Ranganathan-starrer Dragon unveiled Rise Of Dragon, a peppy number. The lyrical video only gives sneak peeks into all the action as the seemingly professionals break out into a dance in what appears to be a corporate office. We are also treated to some BTS scenes during the song, which is sung by Anirudh Ravichander, Nadisha Thomas, and El Fé Choir. The music for Rise Of Dragon is composed by Leon James, with lyrics penned by Vignesh Shivan.
Overall, the song alludes to an office set-up with Pradeep Ranganathan playing the role of a team lead, while Gautham Vasudev Menon appears to be his senior. Icing on the song is definitely GVM who hits the dance floor and flaunts his dance moves along with Pradeep Ranganathan and a bevy of background dancers.
The film is written and helmed by Ashwath Marimuthu who is best known for the rom-com Oh My Kadavule. Anupama Parameswaran is said to play the female lead in Dragon opposite Pradeep Ranganathan. Gautham Vasudev Menon also appears in a key role in the film along with KS Ravi Kumar, Mysskin, Vj Siddhu, Harshath Khan, Kayadu Lohar, Mariam George, Indhumathy Manigandan, and Thenappan.
The film is produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, Kalpathi S Suresh under the banner of AGS Entertainment (P), who had earlier backed Vijay and Venkat Prabhu’s The Greatest of All Time.
It would be interesting to note what kind of film Dragon would turn out to be given that Pradeep Ranganathan is also a director and writer with Comali and Love Today being his first two projects.
