After making his Bollywood debut in June with Maharaj, Junaid Khan has been noticeably absent from the spotlight until February 2025, when he may return with two films. Industry insiders reveal that he plans to release his next untitled film, starring Sai Pallavi and produced by his superstar father Aamir Khan, during Valentine's Day week. Fortunately, Boney Kapoor, who co-produces his romance drama starring Khushi Kapoor, has already set a February 7 release date.

Concerns over box office competition between Junaid Khan's films

As per reports in Mid Day, two films starring Junaid debuting so close together may hurt both films' box office returns, but industry insiders claim that both are trying to cash in on the Valentine's Day buzz. The 14th of February has been on Aamir's radar for months, a source informed the tabloid. This date is essential to their distribution networks and planned promotions. Therefore, altering it at this time would be difficult.

An insider with knowledge of the Boney and Phantom Studios project went on to reveal that in September, the makers had announced the release date. With the film's focus on adolescent love, they'd like to keep to the February timeframe.

Advait Chandan's Junaid-Khushi film is a formal reimagining of the smash hit Love Today (2022) in Tamil. Supposedly, the producers will be getting together shortly to talk about possible date changes.

Aamir Khan's involvement and promotions for Laapataa Ladies

Aamir is currently busy promoting Laapataa Ladies in the US for the Oscars, according to the source. However, before finalising their schedules, he intends to meet with the Love Today remake's producers later this month. By December, one can expect to hear about the revised dates.

Meanwhile, the Netflix film Maharaj marked Junaid's Bollywood debut earlier this year. Talking about the period drama, one of the first to fight for equal rights for women and other social reforms was the journalist and activist Karsandas Mulji. While a student at Mumbai's Elphinstone College and a follower of scholar-leader Dadabhai Naoroji, he spoke for the downtrodden, published works on widow remarriage, and planted the seeds of social change.

Allegations of wrongdoing by a notable man set off the chain reaction known as the Maharaj Libel Case in 1862. Many people think this case is one of the most important court battles ever because of how much attention and scrutiny it received.

Maharaj also featured Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey, and Sharvari Wagh in pivotal roles. Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films produced the movie, which Siddharth P. Malhotra directed.
