Sony Entertainment Pictures dropped the trailer to the sequel of the 2016 horror thriller film Don’t Breathe on June 30. The film, titled Don’t Breathe 2, will see the return of Stephan Lang as Norman Nordstorm, better known as The Blind Man.
The first instalment saw a group of kids trying to make an easy buck by robbing who they thought to be a harmless visually-impaired man, who turned out to be someone much more dangerous. As Lang traps them in his lair, eliminating each one of them, he turns out to be a cold-blooded killer. The movie garnered instant fame and raked in a lot of money at the box office.
Whereas, the first movie saw Lang in a terrifying role, in a redemptive arc, the sequel will see him atoning for his sins in hiding, raising an orphaned girl he had taken in after a fire. As a group of criminals invade his house and kidnap the girl, Lang is forced to come out of isolation and bring forth his vengeance.
The trailer sees some great action sequences as The Blind Man tries to fend off against criminals, relying on his hearing skills and showing some great fighting chops. The film is helmed by Rodo Sayagues and also features Brendon Sexton III and Madelyn Grace.
Don’t Breathe 2 is slated for release on August 13 in theatres worldwide.
