Don release date: When and where to watch the Sivakarthikeyan, Priyanka Mohan-starrer film

After postponing once, debutant Cibi Chakaravarthi's Don is set for a theatrical release on May 13. Sivakarthikeyan and Priyanka Mohan play lead roles in the comic caper; this is the duo's second film together after Doctor (streaming on Netflix) which released last year. 

Sivakarthikeyan Productions and Lyca Productions have jointly bankrolled the movie which will be distributed by Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies in Tamil Nadu. Anirudh has composed music for the project which is his third notable release this year. He has released three singles from Don so far.

SJ Suryah, Samuthirakani, Soori, Kaali Venkat, Aadhira Pandilakshmi, Balasaravanan, Sivaangi and Mirchi Vijay among others will be seen essaying crucial characters in the film which has Siva playing an engineering student for the first time in his career. The movie's story revolves around the conflict between a student and a principal of an engineering college.

Nagooran has edited the movie which has cinematography by KM Bhaskaran. Shobi and Sandy have jointly choreographed dance scenes for the film which has stunt choreography designed by Vicky.

The film will have shows screened from as early as 4 am in the morning across Tamil Nadu. Don has been dubbed in Telugu as College Don and will have a simultaneous release in both the Telugu states. The runtime of the movie is around 165 minutes and it has acquired a U certificate from the Censor Board.

Netflix has bagged the digital rights of the movie; an announcement on its OTT release date is awaited by film buffs. It is expected that there will be a one-month window between theatrical release and OTT release. Don is the fifth notable movie to release in Tamil in 2022 after Ajith's Valimai, Suriya's Etharkkum Thunindhavan, Vijay's Beast and Nayanthara-Sethupathi-Samantha's Kaathuvakula Rendu Kaadhal.
