Ranveer Singh fans, explode with happiness! Popular actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar is likely to announce the third edition of the popular spy series, Don, with popular Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh.
Featuring Ranveer in the lead role in the latest edition, the upcoming project’s teaser will be out digitally this week and screen with the movie, Gadar 2, in select properties in Independence Day weekend.
A report published on the news portal Pinkvilla today believes, “The teaser of Don 3 will be out this week on the digital world. The team is very excited to introduce Ranveer Singh as the new Don to this young generation of cinema-going audience. The introduction will happen through a proper teaser, which will drop digitally in the next 2 to 3 days.”
This development comes months after multiple reports in the month of May claimed that Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan decided to exit the Don franchise due to prior work commitments.
Earlier editions of this blockbuster series featured megastars Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan in titular roles. While Amitabh Bachchan headlined the first movie of the series, Don, in the year 1978, Shah Rukh Khan continued to legacy in 2006 and in 2011 respectively.
In 2006, SRK featured in Don (which drew inspiration from Amitabh Bachchan starrer movie), and later in 2011, he uplifted the standards of the blockbuster creation with Don 2.
With Don 3 next in line, expectations from this upcoming project is surely high.
The presence of Ranveer Singh, too, guarantees success at the box office. Ranveer has been a part of numerous Bollywood blockbusters like Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani being the latest one in this list.
