Mammootty is joining hands with director Gautham Vasudev Menon, for the upcoming Malayalam film, Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse. The movie, touted to be a crime comedy, marks the senior filmmaker’s debut in Malayalam cinema. After a long wait, the makers have finally announced the Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse release date, on the special occasion of New Year 2025. As reported earlier, the Mammootty starrer has been slated to hit the theatres on January 23, 2025.
Mammootty took to his official social media handles, and announced the Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse release date, on the special occasion of New Year 2025. “Happy New Year Everyone! Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse in Cinemas Worldwide on January 23, 2025,” reads the megastar's X (formerly Twitter) post. The new update has left the Mammootty fans and the admirers of Gautham Vasudev Menon, who have been waiting for the director’s comeback to the big screens, highly excited.
If the recent updates are to be believed, Mammootty is set to play the titular character Dominic, a lazy yet highly skilled private detective, in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s film. Gokul Suresh, the young actor, appears in the role of Dominic’s close associate, in the highly anticipated project. Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse features Lena, Viji Venkatesh, Vineeth, Siddique, Sushmitha Bhatt, Meenakshi Unnikrishnan, Wafa Khadeeja, and others in the supporting roles.
Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse is jointly penned by Neeraj Rajan and Sooraj Rajan, along with director Gautham Vasudev Menon. Darbuka Siva, the popular Tamil musician is all set to make his Malayalam cinema debut, by composing the music and background score for Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse. Vishnu Dev is the director of photography. Anthony handles the film’s editing. The highly anticipated project is bankrolled by leading man Mammootty himself, under his home banner Mammootty Kampany.
