Dhanush and Nagarjuna-starrer DNS or D51 (tentative titles) has officially commenced its shooting in Hyderabad. The makers of the film, helmed by Telugu director Sekhar Kammula, took to their social media pages to share the latest clicks from the puja ceremony. The photos feature Dhanush, sporting a beard, and also the director Sekhar Kammula. The movie marks Captain Miller star’s first collaboration with Sekhar Kammula, a National-award winning director.

The upcoming film will also witness Telugu superstar Nagarjuna sharing screen space with the Tamil actor for the first time. Actress Rashmika Mandanna will be playing the female lead in this project , which is backed by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao.
Moreover, the film is also being promoted under the hashtag DNS, an abbreviation of the names of Dhanush, Nagarjuna and Sekhar.
Earlier when the film was announced in 2023, a concept poster was unveiled, that showcased a stash of money with high-rise buildings and slums on either side, hinting at the film's intriguing plot. According to reports, the film is inspired by true events.
With the stellar star cast, we can expect something exciting from the film's makers. The movie’s camera will be cranked by Niketh Bommi, while the production design is handled by Ramakrishna Sabbani and Monika Nigotre. While sharing new puja pics, the makers also announced that key details will be unveiled soon.
Meanwhile, Dhanush’s latest outing Captain Miller, helmed by Arun Matheswaran, has been soaring high at the box office. The film, which was released on Pongal week, has so far minted over ₹55 crore net. The period film stars Priyanka Mohan, Sundeep Kishan, and Shiva Rajkumar in key roles. The film’s digital rights have been reportedly acquired by Amazon Prime Video and will be available on the streaming giant post its theatrical run.
