Director, producer MS Raju's Sathi first look out; Sumanth Ashwin and Meher Chahal to play leads

MS Raju, whose next film 7 Days 6 Nights still awaits release, confirmed his next project Sathi yesterday with a pre-look poster. The first look of the filmmaker's upcoming directorial was launched earlier today. Sumanth Ashwin and Meher Chahal play the leads in the film, whose the first look that was unveiled today, commemorating MS Raju's birthday. The look has mythical backdrop with several actors dressed as Gods in the background while the lead actors are walking along on a road.

Sathi is believed to be a thrilling story revolving around a newly married couple and is expected to have an intriguing plot, like MS Raju's most films. The film's shoot has already commenced and is progressing at a brisk pace. Veteran actor Naresh is said to have been roped in to essay a crucial role in Sathi, which will also feature a flurry of renowned actors playing meaty roles.

Presented by Sumanth Art Productions, Sathi is jointly produced by Sumanth Ashwin, Raghuram.T, Saranga Suresh Kumar and Ravi Datla under Wild Honey Production and Ramanta Creations. Co-produced by J Srinivasa Raju, the film's technical team comprises editor Junaid Siddiqui, production designer Baskar Mudavath in addition to cinematographers Rakesh Hosamany and Venkat. Vijay Samrat Chilaka is the co-director.

Some of the other directorials of MS Raju in the past include Vaana, Tooneega Tooneega and the surprise hit Dirty Hari. Incidentally, the producer-director's 7 Days 6 Nights also stars Sumanth Ashwin in a prominent role. Other details around the film's cast, crew and shoot progress will be announced shortly.
