The trailer of Disney+Hotstar's highly-anticipated show The Empire, showcasing scenes of rulers waging war against each other, might remind you of GoT and hence, the recent comparison. But the director of the show Mitakshara Kumar takes it as a compliment.

Talking about the comparison between the two series, the director of Kunal Kapoor and Dino Morea-starrer show recently shared her thoughts at a press conference. According to India Today, the filmmaker revealed her experience of making the film and said, “I haven't seen GoT but I think it's like a fictional, fantasy show. I really don't know what the comparison is about. If two people are fighting, you can't call it a comparison. But if they are saying that, I will take it as a compliment.”
