Director Hari says Arun Vijay's Yaanai will be packed with emotions

The much-awaited trailer of director Hari's upcoming film Yaanai was released yesterday. The trailer was released by Sivakarthikeyan. Taking to his social media page, Sivakarthikeyan wrote, "Happy to release the trailer of #Yaanai - https://youtu.be/kwBT-YLgmOU Best wishes to @arunvijayno1 brother #DirectorHARI sir & entire team for a big success 👍😊 @DrumsticksProd @priya_Bshankar @realradikaa @iYogibabu @gvprakash @thondankani @Ammu_Abhirami @gopinath_dop @ZEE5Tamil (sic)." The trailer has already crossed 2 million views.

In the meantime, the team held a press meet yesterday in Chennai. Speaking at the event, director Hari said that the taste of the audience is changing rapidly and that he has adapted the film to suit their recent tastes. Pointing out that some of his recent films didn't really do well, Hari said that he has tried something new with Yaanai. The film is said to be packed with emotions as well. 

Priya Bhavani Shankar, the leading lady of the film, said that this is Hari's 2.0 version and added that there are no glamorous sets in the film unlike other films of Hari.

Interestingly, this is the first time that brother-in-laws Hari and Arun Vijay are teaming up for a film. The rest of the star cast includes Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, Radhika Sarathkumar, Ammu Abhirami and KGF fame Ramachandra Raju. The film is predominantly set in Rameshwaran and Dhanushkodi.

Music for Yaanai has been scored by GV Prakash Kumar. Lyrics for the songs are by Snehan, Ekadasi and Arivu. While Gopinath has cranked the camera, editing is by Anthony. Micheal and Anl Arasu are in charge of the art direction and stunt choreography respectively. Baba Baskar and Dhina have jointly choreographed the dance moves. The film has been titled Yaanai in Tamil and Enugu in Telugu. Yaanai will be Arun Vijay's first theatrical release since the pandemic. His last release was Oh My Dog which released on OTT.
