Director Gireeshaaya, a former associate of Arjun Reddy filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, made his debut with the Tamil film Arjun Varma. His first Telugu release will be Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga, a family entertainer headlined by Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Ketika Sharma. The teaser of the romance, produced by BVSN Prasad, was launched today.

At the teaser launch, Gireeshaaya said, “It’s very difficult to reach out to any actor in this industry but Vaisshnav responded to me instantly, in an hour and agreed to do the film. He gave me a cover full of chocolate pastries after the narration. It was the best day for my family, who are die-hard Chiranjeevi fans. I was thrilled to direct his nephew.”

Most of the calls that he had received for the promos and songs of Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga had a common link - all were gushing about Vaisshnav’s look in the film. “The film is a true celebration of Vaisshnav Tej’s energy and he was a great source of support. Our producer Bvsn Prasad always has a smile on his face and that inspired us to give our best,” he shared.

Talking about the other actors in the film, Gireeshaaaya added, “I wanted a face who would be right to play a arrogant, headstrong girl Radha. We considered several names but when I met Ketika for a look test, I was sure I found my Radha for the film. I thank Naveen Chandra for agreeing to do the film despite his tight schedule.”

Reportedly, it was Gireeshaya’s long-time desire to associate with composer Devi Sri Prasad. The filmmaker stated that the cinematographer Shamdat Sainudeen became a good friend through the making and also spoke of the long-term association he has shared with art director Avinash Kolla. He also credited the presenter Bapineedu’s suggestions during the scripting stages.
