Director Chidambaram, who made waves in 2024 with his Malayalam film Manjummel Boys, announced his next film on social media on Thursday, January 2. However, what tops as cherry on the cake is that the director is all set to collaborate with yet another Malayalam filmmaker, who made another successful Malayalam film in 2024. Yes, Chidambaram is all set to work with filmmaker Jithu Madhavan who made Fahadh Faasil-starrer Aavesham.

A new Malayalam film is at work! The yet-to-be-titled film will be helmed by Chidambaram, who made the 2024 blockbuster film Manjummel Boys. KVN Productions and Thespian Films will produce the upcoming film, with Aavesham director Jithu Madhavan onboard as writer.
The film promises to be a spectacle, boasting an ensemble of industry stalwarts, including Shyju Khaled as the cinematographer, Sushin Shyam composing the score, and Vivek Harshan as the editor. It is to be noted that the upcoming film will mark KVN Productions’s foray into Malayalam cinema.
Commenting on the project, director Chidambaram shared, "I’m thrilled to work with a team that shares my passion for storytelling. This collaboration is something I am looking forward too, can't wait to bring this vision to life." Jithu Madhavan said that the script was close to his heart and promised it to be good content.
Further details on cast and shooting updates are yet to be announced by the makers. KVN Productions’ line-up includes Toxic with Yash, Thalapathy 69 starring Vijay, and a thriller with Priyadarshan in Hindi.
Where to watch Manjummel Boys and Aavesham on OTT?
Chidambaram’s Manjummel Boys is available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The film is based on true events and revolves around a group of youngsters who take a trip to Gunaa Caves in Kodaikanal and what follows after one of them falls into a deep pit.
On the other hand, Aavesham is streaming on Prime Video. The Jithu Madhavan and Fahadh Faasil film is set in Bangalore and is about three college boys who hire a gangster to save them from their college bully.
