Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh in Jab We Met 2 would definitely be an exciting casting coup. The fact that the Punjabi rockstar adores Bebo has been mentioned numerous times. Their filmography includes Udta Punjab, Good Newwz, and their most recent collaboration, Crew. On one recent occasion, he compared Kareena to Beyoncé and Rihanna. Diljit, on the other hand, has recently collaborated with Imtiaz Ali on Amar Singh Chamkila, and he couldn't stop gushing over the filmmaker.

Diljit Dosanjh's Dilemma: Choosing between Kareena Kapoor Khan and Imtiaz Ali

In an interview, Anubhav Singh Bassi for Netflix India put Diljit in a tough spot by asking if he would reteam with Kareena or Imtiaz. Interviewing alongside the director, the Jogi actor offered a competing proposal instead of choosing one. He mentioned the possibility of collaborating with Imtiaz and Kareena on a Jab We Met sequel.

Diljit remarked that both sound good to him, but Jab We Met 2 could be in the works as the film was really fantastic. His response surprised Imtiaz.

Diljit's conflicting views on Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar

Diljit has also claimed that he is a huge fan of Imtiaz's film, Rockstar. He professed to be an ardent admirer of the Ranbir Kapoor vehicle. But according to the filmmaker, he has panned the picture and even used the word "flawed" to describe it. He explained that the way one berates themselves is unique. Rockstar and his fans have had their share of arguments. They were furious because, dare he say, the movie had a flaw? Imtiaz said before that the film has several problems.

He was opposed to the Punjabi singer's opinion. Imtiaz explained that there were a lot of things in that film that were not okay, but Diljit was not on board. He murmered, No, no, no," and Imtiaz decided to leave the matter unfinished.

Diljit concluded by stating that it would be unethical for a poet to reveal the inspiration for their work, as everyone has their own theory.

Meanwhile, Amar Singh Chamkila will debut on Netflix on April 12, 2024.
