The movie marks filmmaker Imtiaz Ali's return to the feature world. He has been working on the film for a while and shared the first look teaser back in May 2023. Diljit Dosanjh Shares New Stills From Amar Singh Chamkila

The actor, in his latest Instagram post, has shared some never-before-seen glimpses from the sets of Amar Singh Chamkila. They feature him and Parineeti Chopra in some and are all kinds of lovely. He shared the post with a caption that read, “Chamkila April 12, only on Netflix. Trailer Out Now On YouTube.”
The post is a series of five pictures, two of which have Parineeti Chopra in a neon dress singing with Diljit Dosanjh on the stage. One shows Diljit immersed in his performance. There is a behind-the-scenes glimpse where the two can be seen sitting in a field while someone holds an umbrella over their heads. There is also a picture of Diljit preparing for a shot before the camera rolls. The glimpses are indeed magical and will leave you even more excited to watch the film.

Amar Singh Chamkila is based on the life of the celebrated musician who was called the Elvis of Punjab. Killed at the young age of 27, he had achieved a lifetime of fame and accolades in a short time. The trailer that was released yesterday teased audiences with the journey of a boy who dreamt of being on stage and finally found fame. The trailer also poetically captures the tension that leads to a very tragic end, as Chamkila was brutally killed.
Amar Singh Chamkila is directed and written by Imtiaz Ali. The film marks the reunion of the Rockstar and Tamasha team as AR Rahman composes the music, Irshad Kamil pens lyrics, Mohit Chauhan is back to croon some gems, and Alka Yagnik returns to give a hit track with Rahman. The film is set to be released on Netflix on April 12, 2024.
