Darling Krishna has not been having a good run with some of his recent films. Case in point is his last release, Dil Pasand, in which he was paired with Megha Shetty and Nishvika Naidu. The film, directed by Shiva Tejass, had Krishna playing a techie called Santhosh, who was a die-hard romantic from childhood that had to be set right by his father. When he then gets engaged to a traditional beauty Minchu (Megha), but then falls for the charms of the spunky Aishwarya (Nishvika), all hell breaks loose.
Although the film was marketed as an intense love story, it was widely panned by critics for its bland story-telling. One of the film’s only highlights, however, was a dance number called Rama Rama Rama, composed by Arjun Janya and sung by Mangli, which had Nishvika doing a hook step that was reminiscent of Rashmika Mandanna in Pushpa’s Saami Saami number. Rama Rama, which was choreographed by Murali master, has now been released online in its full video version.
The film, which had a short-lived box office stunt, had been picked up by Sun Network for its digital and satellite rights. It was reported that the streaming date of Dil Pasand would likely be closer to Valentine’s Day next year, given that it is a romantic flick. However, the release of songs post the theatrical outing is often seen as a lead up to the OTT outing, so, the film could be heading to the platform earlier too.
Meanwhile, Krishna, is gearing up for the release of his pending films Sugar Factory, Mr Bachelor, Love Me or Hate Me, Love Birds and Kausalya Supraja Rama, among others. Nishvika, who had Guru Shishyaru and Dil Pasand this year, as well as a brief cameo in Gaalipata 2, is yet to announce a new project.
