Dil Bekaraar poster: Sahher Bambba and Akshay Oberoi bring back the 80s charm in Disney+ Hotstar series

Earlier this week, Disney+ Hotstar announced their upcoming series titled Dil Bekaraar, which is in the romantic comedy genre. The series, based on Anuja Chauhan's blockbuster novel Those Pricey Thakur Girls, features Sahher Bambba and Akshay Oberoi in the lead roles. Now, the streaming platform has dropped the brand new poster for the series, featuring the leading actors. Both are donning a look straight from the 80s, and you should allow them to bring back the old school romance to sweep you off your feet.

The makers have assured you that Dil Bekaraar would make you yearn for the basics of old-school love and longing in this day of swipe right and swipe left. The family-entertaining series is directed by Habib Faisal of Do Dooni Chaar and Ishaqzaade fame, while it's produced by Sobo Films.

Disney+ Hotstar shared the poster on their Instagram page with a caption stating, "It’s a date! Dylan and Debjani are bringing you Dil Bekaraar and a whole lot of 80s nostalgia. "

In addition, Raj Babbar, Poonam Dhillon, and Padmini Kolhapure, they feature in the highly anticipated series. 

Dil Bekaraar is set in a beautiful colonial Delhi that is struggling to let go of the past while eagerly anticipating a more liberalized future. To the songs of RD Burman, Nazia Hassan, and Hum Log, the lighthearted drama series unravels the day-to-day existence of the Thakur family as they battle their ideological battles in the days of telegrams, telephones, and Goldspot.

In a statement, Faisal spoke about the series by revealing that it was conceived to bring the audience of the 2020s to the 1980s, not only to experience the elegance, grace, and simplicity of the past, but also to gain a better understanding of ourselves as a society in the present.

Dil Bekaraar is set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar on November 26, 2021.
