Didi Number 1: Mamata Banerjee dances with dhamsa in Rachna Banerjee’s show

For the first time, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is all set to appear on Zee Bangla’s reality show, Didi Number 1. The teaser is out and this special episode irked curiosity. In the teaser, Rachna Banerjee announces that Bengal’s Didi No 1 is appearing on the programme for the first time and Mamata Banerjee enters with a smiling face and folded hands. What happened after that? Bengal surely wants to know.

Rachna Banerjee has been anchoring the show for 15 years. People love her anchoring. CM Mamata Banerjee came to the show and gave Rachna full marks. She put her scarf on Rachna's neck and said, “It suits you, the true Didi Number 1.”

Mamata did the shooting for two and a half hours on February 21 in Dumurjala Stadium in Howrah. She went there not as a contestant but as a special guest. The shooting brimmed with songs, dances, and chats. Dona Ganguly was also present in the show. At one moment in the teaser. Mamata Banerjee was seen dancing holding hands of Rachna and Dona.

Singers Sriradha Banerjee and Arundhati Home Choudhury might also be seen in the show. But Mamata was the chief attraction. She filled the sessions with stories, poetry, songs, and funny games with her presence. The team of Didi Number 1 was elated to have the CM. Dona Ganguly shared the photos and wrote, “An absolute honour playing, dancing and singing in Didi No 1 in the presence of our Honourable Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.”
