Did you know that Malayalam actor-director Vineeth Sreenivasan was offered a role in Venkat Prabhu and Vijay’s upcoming sci-fi thriller The Greatest Of All Time? Well, now you know. But do you know why he turned it down? Vineeth revealed that the real reason he had to say no to the film was that he was to begin shooting for his upcoming directorial, Varshangalkku Shesham, at the same time.
“I had received a big opportunity (starring in The GOAT) and I didn't say no to it but had to unfortunately turn it down because I was busy with my film (Varshangalkku Shesham). I really admire Venkat Prabhu and when he contacted me, I didn't want to turn down the offer, but I had no other option,” Vineeth said in a recent interview.
Reflecting on Vijay’s fandom in Kerala, Vineeth said that Malayalee audiences have always received Tamil films well. “There has always been a craze for star-backed Tamil movies in Kerala,” the director-actor added.
Meanwhile, Vineeth Sreenivasan’s upcoming film as a director, Varshangalkku Shesham, starring Pranav Mohanlal and Dhyaan Sreenivasan in lead roles, is a movie that many film buffs are looking forward to watching. The film will be released in theatres during Vishu on April 11.
