Sridevi, a seasoned actress, was a top star during the 1980s and 1990s. Although Sridevi is no longer with us, the Indian film industry will always refer to her as the first female superstar. Her charm, dance prowess, and beautiful demeanour helped her win millions of hearts. 

Unfortunately, both her fans and the entire Hindi cinema business were completely taken aback by the abrupt death of Bollywood's first female superstar. Through her films and the roles she performed, she made an enormous contribution to Bollywood that will always be cherished.

But did you know that Sridevi was the only actress in the 1990s to request the same sum that Amitabh Bachchan was given. This happened in the 1990s when her career was at its peak.

Because in those days only some heroes received a fee of Rs 1 crore every film, Sridevi's choice to charge Rs 1 crore is noteworthy. Solva Sawan, Sridevi's debut Bollywood film, was released in 1979. If reports are to be believed, Sridevi was once the highest paid actress of Bollywood. 

Sridevi passed away in the UAE in February 2018 while attending a family wedding. She was Boney Kapoor’s wife. Janhvi, 26, and Khushi Kapoor, 22, are their daughters. Mona Shourie Kapoor, Boney's first wife, had passed away from cancer in 2012. Anshula Kapoor, 32, and actor Arjun Kapoor, 37, are their children.
