In this new interview, Katrina Kaif discusses her early years in Bollywood and the two-decade-long career she has had. In an interview with Mid Day, the actor revealed that she was initially cast as the fourth female lead in Bachna Ae Haseeno, but her role was later removed from the final script.
Bachna Ae Haseeno: Initial role and success
Siddharth Anand helmed the film, and Yash Raj Films was in charge of production. After its 2008 release, Bachna Ae Haseeno did very well at the box office. Minisha Lamba, Bipasha Basu, and Deepika Padukone were the three female actors who co-starred with Ranbir Kapoor in the film. Ranbir plays Raj, a man who keeps finding love, and his inability to mend broken hearts is not his responsibility. The film shows his enchanting stories with three women, played by Minissha, Bipasha, and Deepika, respectively. At various points in his life, he experiences love from many women, and they all have their own unique, charming, or snarky ways of teaching him about love and life.
In the same interview, Katrina expressed her desire to play Anushka Sharma's role in Aanand L. Rai's Zero, which stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. A starlet named Babita, who develops feelings for Shah Rukh's Bauua Singh, is the character Katrina eventually plays. The box office for Zero was underwhelming, despite the positive reviews for Katrina's performance.

Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor's relationship timeline
Ranbir and Deepika started dating while they were filming Bachna Ae Haseeno, which is fascinating. The two parted ways in 2009. Katrina and Ranbir became romantically involved after appearing in the romantic comedy Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. After that, they appeared in Raajneeti and Jagga Jasoos. Their relationship came to an end in 2016.
Katrina last appeared on the big screen in Merry Christmas, a film directed by Sriram Raghavan and starring Vijay Sethupathi. The mystery thriller film received rave reviews at the box office upon its release on January 12 this year.
