There is no doubt, Jackie Chan has achieved immense success in Hollywood, despite having much disappointment with his roles and dialogues. Once he spilled the beans that he was ready to leave Hollywood because of his bad English. According to him, Hollywood never gave him a chance to exhibit his talent more, rather they were always more focused on his dialogues.

Hence despite such huge success, Chan has remained humble and grounded. He said that he is still a fan of Spielberg and Lucas, and that he would be honoured to work with them on a Star Wars film.

What is Jackie Chan's wish

In 2019, Jackie expressed interest in playing a Jedi Master in a Star Wars movie. He said that he would love to do his own stunts, and that he would be willing to learn new skills for the role.

Being an Asian actor, Chan has given remarkable movies in Hollywood like Rush Hour franchise, Kung Fu Panda animated series, Drunken Master, etc. These are considered one of the classics of Hollywood.

Jackie Chan was thrilled to meet Steven Spielberg, his Hollywood idol, while filming The Tuxedo, which was produced by Spielberg's DreamWorks. Back then, in an interview with Tribute, the Karate Kid actor said that Spielberg asked for his autograph because his son was a fan. This surprised Chan, who had expected Spielberg to be more aloof.

What did Chan say?

“When I came to Hollywood, there were two people I wanted to meet. One was Steven Spielberg and the second was George Lucas. I just think that the two of them are geniuses.” The Hidden Strike actor shared, “When I met Spielberg I was so excited, but he was just like a normal person. But what made me so happy was the first time that he saw me, he held out his hand and said, ‘Jackie, hi, can you give me your autograph because my son just loves you'.”

After hearing Jackie's desire, fans made numerous petitions, urging Lucasfilms to cast him as Jedi Master. Apart from having brilliant martial arts skills, the 69-year-old actor also has proven his talent as a great comedian.

Even though 6 Star Wars movies have already been released, we hope there's still a chance for Jackie Chan to fulfil his dream, as there are a lot of projects still in the pipeline, for both TV and movie.
