Did Suriya42 surpass Vijay-Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo's pre-business? Read here

​If the buzz on social media is to go by, Suriya's upcoming film, which is tentatively being referred to as Suriya42 has overtaken the pre-business of Thalapathy Vijay's Leo. While we hear that Vijay's most anticipated film with Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo has earned around Rs 400 crore in the pre-release business, Suriya42 helmed by Siruthai Siva has Rs 500 crore and more in the same. This means that Suriya42 has earned more than Rs 100 crore than Leo in the pre-business alone. Reports are that Suriya42 is the film with the highest pre-release business in Tamil cinema till date.​ Though the buzz is only getting stronger, the teams are yet to make an official announcement about the same.​

Fans of Suriya42 are an excited lot considering that the team hasn't announced any major update yet, including the title or the first-look poster from the film and that it has still managed to make so much money before release. The shoot for Suriya42 is going in full swing and we hear that Suriya will be seen in multiple get-ups in the film. Bollywood actress Disha Patani, will make her debut with the film. The film is being made on a mega budget and is being billed as a pan-India release. Suriya42's soundtrack is by Devi Sri Prasad.

In the meantime, the shooting for Thalapathy Vijay's next with Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo, is happening in Kashmir. The entire team is present in Kashmir for the schedule and one of the actors, director Mysskin, had recently reported that he has wrapped up the portions and returned from the town. The film marks the comeback of Vijay and Trisha after a span of 14 long years. In the meantime, the supporting cast includes Sanjay Dutt, who plays the prime antagonist, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Gautham Menon, Sandy Master, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mathew Thomas, Vasanthi to name a few. The film is being bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio and Jagadish Palanisamy, marking the latter's debut in production.
