Slated to be released on February 9, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is a forthcoming romantic comedy film in the science fiction genre, featuring famous actors Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. Produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, the movie marks the directorial debuts of Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, who also co-wrote the film. Recently, the trailer of the film showed an insight of how a love story between a human and an artificial intelligence-driven robot would appear. Speaking on the development, Shahid Kapoor shared what he thinks about the unique storyline of the film.
Why did Shahid Kapoor desire to be a part of the film?
In an interview with news agency ANI recently, Shahid Kapoor outlined whether his upcoming starrer Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is an entertainer. Not only this, but he dismissed reports claiming that he signed up for the film because the human population is on a decline.
Shahid Kapoor said, “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is a family entertainer love story. It is a high-concept film...Kriti is playing the role of an AI robot and I am playing the role of a robotics engineer. It is a love story of the two..."
“The story is narrated in a sensible yet entertaining manner. This is the basic essence of the film,” he said.
The news agency wondered whether Shahid chose to be a part of the film because the population of women in countries, especially India, is on a decline. Answering this question, Shahid said, “Watch the film to know the answer to this question. This film is purely for entertainment purposes. Also, if you observe, there are several types of mobile phones available in the marketplace. Yet, we select only one type of phone. This is common human behaviour. Usually, humans seek what they want. Similar emotions are essayed for your loved ones.”
“Sometimes in life, we fall in love with a person – whose way of life is very different from ours. Yet, we move ahead in life with that person. Love is like that only....,” Shahid smiled as he wrapped up his response.

In August 2022, news surfaced about the collaboration of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in producer Dinesh Vijan's upcoming romantic comedy film centered around robots. Filming commenced in October 2022 and concluded in April 2023, coinciding with the release of the first look poster. The title of the film was unveiled two weeks ago.
