It was recently revealed that Telugu actor Jr NTR had joined the cast of the Hrithik Roshan movie, making the sequel to Yash Raj Productions' War: War 2 even bigger. The last time we saw Jr. NTR, he was starring opposite Ram Charan in SS Rajamouli's epic RRR, which made history by taking home the Best Original Song Oscar in 2023 for Naatu Naatu. According to the most recent rumours, Jr. NTR has significantly increased his project fees.

According to rumours, Jr. NTR charged Rs 45 crore for S. S. Rajamouli's RRR. The actor appears to have made the decision following the enormous success of the Oscar-winning film RRR. The Telugu actor's pay has now boosted by 100% in order to appear in the Ayan Mukerji film.

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Jr. NTR will demand Rs. 100 crore for War 2. The actor and his team have not yet provided a confirmation for the rumours.

According to a Variety report, Sidharth Anand would not be directing War 2 but rather Brahmastra's director Ayan Mukerji. The source was quoted as saying, "Aditya Chopra is choosing the captain of the ship for each YRF spy universe film strategically.”

The source added, “Ayan has delivered big hits which appeals to all audience segments and has the pulse of Indian audiences. He has shown that he knows how to mount a film with a huge scale, which is essential for someone to direct ‘War 2.’ Plus, he is a young filmmaker who can bring a different kind of newness to the spy universe. Ayan will have his unique take on how to make an epic action spectacle with ‘War 2.’ Aditya Chopra trusts him to take the franchise forward.”
