Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh is the latest from the show to make headlines after he went missing and could not be reached since the past few days. The most recent update in the case is that the actor could have planned his own disappearance. Delhi Police has come across a footage which seems to hint that he has planned his own his disappearance, and is probably no longer in Delhi either.
News18 quoted Delhi Police saying that the actor who played Roshan Singh Sodhi in TMKOC left his phone in the Palam area and seems to have planned everything and moved out of Delhi. “We are trying to find but it only makes it more difficult for us to trace Gurucharan Singh, because this means that the phone is not with the actor. In the CCTV footage we recovered that he was seen moving from one e-rickshaw to another,” the official informed.
Gurucharan Singh has been missing since April 22. His father filed a police complaint after four days, post which action was taken to try and find him. The father claimed that his son left for Mumbai but did not reach the city. He said that Gurucharan’s phone is unavailable and confirmed that his son is mentally stable.
There were reports that suggested Gurucharan Singh was facing financial crunches and that he was supposed to get married soon. More recently, Asit Kumarr Modi was questioned and he claims to have paid all of the actor’s dues. Gurucharan Singh quit the show in 2020 and was replaced by Balwinder Singh Suri. Apart from his parents, Gurucharan’s TMKOC co-stars Jennifer Mistry, Mandar Chandwadkar and Samay Shah expressed concern over his disappearance and hoped he would return home soon.
