His recitation of Sanskrit shlokas as Kesar Bharadwaj in the show Asur 2 has surely become a talking point for the fans of the show, but here, actor Gaurav Arora shares one of the funniest incidents that took place during the shooting of an action sequence of the show.
Gaurav told OTTplay, "One of the most beautiful things that happened to me during the shooting of the show, apart from getting a deeper understanding of mythology, was learning Sanskrit. I learned the language, every single line, and memorised it so much that something super funny also happened during a scene. There is a scene where Arshad's character is beating up Kesav. Now we were taking the scene from different camera angles, so we did multiple takes. I remember I was falling on the floor but did not fumble on any Sanskrit line, though, as we all know, it is not a spoken language and is tough to speak. Arshad was like, 'Yaar, maar kha kha ke Sanskrit bol raha hai tu, ek baar to fumble kar!' And once I fumbled, and Arshad came to me after the scene and said, 'Thanks bro, ek baar to at least kia fumble warna mujhe heart attack aa jaaata' (laughs)."
Arshad plays a CID officer in the show who is on a mission to catch serial killer Shubh along with his team, but every time, Shubh is going steps ahead to execute his plan by killing innocent people.
Barun Sobti, Ridhi Dogra, and Amey Vagh are among the actors in the Oni Sen-directed series' cast. Set in Banaras, Asur 2 is streaming on JioCinema.
