Superstar Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan were wed on June 9 in a lavish ceremony held in Mahabalipuram, Chennai. According to rumours, the famous couple sold the streaming rights of their wedding to an OTT juggernaut, and their followers couldn't wait to see the idyllic ceremony.

According to The Times of India, the streaming service paid a whopping 25 crore rupees for the rights. The OTT juggernaut may have decided to break the deal, according to the most recent sources, as a few images from the wedding ceremony have surfaced.

In honour of his and Nayanthara's one-month wedding anniversary, Vignesh Shivan published an unreleased photo from the wedding that included Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Suriya, Jyotika, Mani Ratnam, Anirudh Ravichander, and others on his Instagram page. The OTT giant is said to be angered by this decision because they anticipated the wedding visuals to be an exclusive.

Despite the claims that the OTT behemoth will no longer be streaming the wedding, there has been no official confirmation of this.

Sponsored celebrity weddings are also no longer a mystery, and the opulent wedding of Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan was purportedly sponsored by the OTT juggernaut as well.

Meanwhile, the couple will reportedly reunite for Ajith Kumar's AK62, according to reports on the job front. Nayanthara is rumoured to fill the part of the female lead in Vignesh Shivan, the next film from director Ajith. Nothing has been confirmed, though.

Nayanthara is now working on a number of significant projects, including Gold with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jawan with Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan, and others.

Nayanthara and Vignesh's last outing together was Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, directed by the latter. The film also featured Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female lead. After its theatrical run, the romantic comedy is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
