Did Ajay Devgn just reveal Abhishek Bachchan’s character in Bholaa?

Ajay Devgn is all set to release his latest directorial Bholaa. While his fans are eagerly waiting to watch the film in the theatre and experience the 3D spectacle, some are also curious to know the role that Abhishek Bachchan is going to play in the film.

The movie’s cast and crew were present at its trailer launch in Mumbai recently. When one journalist asked Ajay to reveal more about Abhishek’s character in the film, Ajay quipped, “Why are you asking, one has to watch the film to find it out right, as we say Abhishek’s character is a surprise and surprise means not to reveal here. You have to get the surprise while watching the film.”

Earlier Ajay and Abhishek have worked in many films together, including Zameen, LOC: Kargil, Yuva and Bol Bachchan, to name a few.

Bholaa is the remake of the Tamil film, titled Kaithi, which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and released in 2019. While in the Tamil film, the title role was played by Karthi, in the Hindi remake, Ajay has also played the title role. Ajay’s last directorial venture was Runway 34, which also starred Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan.

This is not the first time that Ajay is appearing in a south language film remake, as Ajay and Tabu together worked in the successful franchise Drishyam, a Malayalam film that starred superstar Mohanlal. He also played a pivotal part in the much-celebrated film RRR, which has received an Oscar nomination, after winning a Golden Globe Award.

Bholaa is the story of a prisoner, a police officer and a group of smugglers and illegal narcotic drugs. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, the film also features Sanjay Mishra, Deepak Dobriyal, Vineet Kuamr and Gajraj Rao, among others. It’s all set to release in the theatre on March 30.
