Ahead of LSD 2 – Love, Sex Aur Dhokha 2 teaser’s launch, the director Dibakar Banerjee has issued a warning to all fans of the franchise. He especially reached out to teenagers, who the movie is based on but cannot watch it. Dibakar pleaded that these kids watch the film with someone and if that someone is their family, then they should discuss what the movie will be like, before actually watching it in theatres.
What the makers are saying
While posting the video, the makers wrote, “While it will take a stark look at today's generation, unfortunately, to keep the authenticity of the film intact, some shots might shock and revolt audiences.” This is the reason why the director of the movie Dibakar Banerjee reached out to fans of the franchise.
What Dibakar said
Dibakar promised that much like the original film, LSD is also about the truth around us. “So we portrayed the same truth, an authentic picture of life that we see all around us, in LSD 2 as well,” he said. He then spoke about people wanting to deny the truth and rather turn a blind eye to it. The director asked such people to not watch the teaser of his upcoming film.
He added, “Doosri baat yeh hai ki agar aap adult nahi ho toh phir bhi aap LSD 2 ka teaser aur trailer mat dekho, kyunki yeh teenagers ki kahaani hai lekin abhi teenagers aur bacche usko dekh nahi sakte.”
Why people need to discuss with families before watching the movie
In his disclaimer, Dibakar further said that those adults who are fond of the movie’s franchise, need to first have a discussion about the kind of topic covered in the movie with their family members, before the families go to watch the movie. This is especially for some families who believe in having the last word set in stone. To them, Dibakar asks that they avoid watching the movie with their families and rather bring their friends, girlfriend, boyfriend, office colleagues or go by themselves, than bring their family to the theatres. “And please watch it with discretion,” he concluded.
