Arulnithi has had three releases in a span of less than two months. While D Block hit the screens on July 1, Dejavu was released on July 22. His latest project, Diary, helmed by debutant Innasi Pandiyan, hit the screens on August 26.
All the three films opened to mixed reviews, but Diary garnered comparatively better response from the audience than D Block and Dejavu. The movie's story revolves around an investigative officer who investigates mysterious bus accidents that occur at a specific spot during Coimbatore-Ooty route. How he tracks down the reason behind complex incidents forms the rest of the story.
Leading digital platform aha Tamil has now announced that they have bagged the OTT rights of the movie. S Kathiresan, who has bankrolled the film under Five Star Creations, penned a heartfelt note yesterday thanking the audience, critics and the OTT platform for their support to his production venture.
An official announcement on the digital premiere of Diary is expected to happen soon. According to sources, the film is likely to drop on aha Tamil in the last week of September. Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies and Kalaignar TV had bagged the movie's theatrical rights and satellite rights respectively.
Pavithra Marimuthu has played the female lead in Diary which has music composed by Ron Ethan Yohann. SP Raja Sethupathi and Aravinnd Singh have handled editing and cinematography respectively for the project. Pradeep Dinesh has choreographed action sequences while Sri Krish and Viji Satish have composed dance moves.
The makers had released videos of Arya, Sivakarthikeyan and Soori heaping praise on the movie's screenplay and technical aspects recently. Arulnithi is currently busy with Raatchasi fame director Gowthamraj's project in which he is sporting a never-before-seen look.
