The actress took to her social media accounts to post an inspirational message after her niece Tanya Kakde passed away in a car accident.

Actress Dia Mirza has always been a source of inspiration for her social media followers. Though she had suffered a personal tragedy recently, she continues to keep things positive even during tough times.
Dia shared a photo of herself with the caption, “I’m having a hard week. But staying strong. Because #WeCanDoHardThings. If you are having a tough time please breathe through it. And know that you are love.”
Tanya Kakde, Dia's niece, had recently passed away after a car accident. In a heartfelt post, the actor said that her niece has “entered the light”. “Wherever you are, my sweetheart, I hope you experience serenity and love. You never failed to put a smile on our faces, and your dancing, grinning, and singing will add more light to the higher realms. Shanti Om,” Dia wrote.
She also described the kind of relationship the two shared, revealing how extremely important Tanya was to her. Dia received overwhelming support from her fans as well as celebrity friends, including Tara Sharma Saluja, Sophie Choudry, Neha Dhupia, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sandhya Mridul.

Meanwhile, Dia is currently working on her movie Dhak Dhak and has been sharing updates about the movie. As per ETimes, the entire Dhak Dhak team drove their bikes from Delhi to Kharadunga La. For the first time ever in Indian film, an entire crew travelled by vehicles to the highest motorable peak on Earth to film a crucial sequence.
On the experience, she said, “The most memorable instance for us as artistes while working in this film was making it to the Khardung La pass. It holds such deep significance to each of our characters in the story and each one of us felt it.”
Taapsee Pannu, Pranjal Khandhdiya and Ayush Maheshwari are co-producing the film with Viacom18 Studios,. The movie will tell the story of four women as they attempt to overcome obstacles in their lives. In addition to Dia, the Tarun Dudeja directorial also prominently featured Ratna Pathak Shah, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanjana Sanghi.
