After a rock-solid journey of one year and five months, Star Jalsha’s serial Dhulokona came to an end. The last episode was telecasted on December 11, Sunday, at 8 pm. As Neel Bhattacharya and Tiyasha’s Bangla Medium took over the slot from Monday onwards, Lalon, aka Indrasish Roy, and Fuljhuri, aka Manali Manisha Dey’s love story came to an end.
Dhulokona started in July 2021. Besides Indrasish and Manali Manisha, Sabitri Chatterjee, Shankar Chakraborty, Badsha Maitra, Sweta Mishra, Tathagata Mukherjee, Maina Banerjee, Priti Biswas, Mainak Banerjee, Anindita Roychowdhury and others play pivotal characters in the show. The serial shows the journey of Fuljhuri – a domestic help – as she emerges as a singer. Meanwhile, her love affair with Lalon, played by Indrasish, has also been one of the most popular aspects of the show. However, Lalon’s frequent emotional turmoil was criticised by the fans.
After the last episode on Sunday, Indrasish took to his social media and posted a group photo of Team Dhulokona. “We travelled like crazy. And it was amazing. Thank you everyone again. This team will miss you more than you’ll miss us. Signing off,” he wrote with the photo.
Many fans of the serial, actors, and well-wishers commented on the post. Rahul Arunodoy Banerjee wrote, “Boss, there is no greater feeling than leaving on a high. The team achieved all it could.” Debottam Majumder, who is a part of the show, sent love to his fans. Jisshu U Sengupta’s wife Nilanjanaa Senguptaa also commented on the post.
From Monday, Dhulokona is replaced by Bangla Medium which features Neel Bhattacharya and Tiyasha in the lead.
